I always say I want a long lace dress or a short 50′s style dress, and David always asks me “Why not short and lace?” I thought it would look weird. I was wrong. It looks awesome.

I was just about to ask if you’d seen Stephanie James’ dresses when I read short and lace, but you beat me to it!
Candy Anthony does gorgeous short lace dresses too. She’s British (and expensive) but good for inspiration!
I’ve also seen some lovely short lace dresses on etsy.

Maybe try Recapture Designs on College in Oakland. They restyle vintage wedding dresses (and party dresses) to make them fit and modernize them. Even if you don’t find your wedding, its so worth the trip.
