Riiiigggghhht. So that pretty much sums up every problem I have with the wedding industry.

    AMEN. I can put wedding expenses on my credit card (the one that gives me miles), but just the sheer amount of excess in that ad gives me hives. I will not spend one penny over what I actually need

    lol! i am a planner (a practical one at that) and i have to cosign on the comments. if you must go into debt to fund your wedding, you are inviting waay too many people and probably planning out of envy more than anything else.

    financial peace of mind is priceless

    the scariest thing about wedding finances is that there is truly NO LIMIT to what you can spend. all the more reason to make a good budget and stick to it.

    Actually, I totally want to cut the last sentence out, and change it to "there were XXX and YYY and they wanted a party to celebrate their marriage. Date , Time, Place." and make it an invite. Is that wrong?
