Baby Got Back Awesomeness

by Meg Keene, Editor-In-Chief

If you have been reading this blog for awhile, or know me in the flesh, you probably know of my unshakable love for Baby Got Back (and Justin Timberlake’s nonsense, but that’s another story). So you will understand the giggle fit that ensued when I watched this elegant and lovely wedding first dance to Sir Mix-a-lot’s classic work.

Also, if you know me in real life, you will understand that David and I would not have to work out pre-set choreography to this particular ditty. We’ve got that sh*t in our souls.

Thanks to Reim for the heads up.

I’ve seen that a million times and it just doesn’t get old =) I SO wish my fiance would do something awesome like that…he’d be WAY too embarrassed. However, I’m still trying to convince him that we need to do the final dance from Dirty Dancing…we joke around and do that one all the time…too funny =)

I love that song!! Yes, totally dorky to really even admit that, but I do. And therefore, was thrilled to see the video of that couple’s first dance, so great!

Brilliant… I would find the whole thing utterly embarrassing (although at least it didn’t look TOO choreographed) but the element of surprise is great.

And I LOVE her dress :)

So I just sent that link to my co-worker…. He is friends with the guy who did it! He is a fireman in SD. Small world.

I love it! Mostly the song though, I find those choreographed dances a bit embarrassing!

Hey, if you really wanted to pull one over on folks, you could play Jonathan Coulton’s folk version of Baby Got Back.
