I can’t imagine carrying anything other than flowers, I love them so very much. My wedding thoughts went – flowers, cake, dress when we started planning!
I love the feathers though. And have you seen Princess Lasertron’s button flowers? They’re fab!

I LOVE the feather bouquet! And you know my afinity for flowers. I think you can carry anthing you want to carry. Heck, at some point I expect you to throw David over your shoulder.

Yay! a pregnant bride! I won't be pregnant at my wedding but my fiance and I will have already had a baby girl together! So many people get married then don't have children for five years, and that's fine, it's nice to hear of more wedding/children combos.

This is such a lovely post; It’s nice to know other people are thinking this way, too. At first I figured we’d just go the normal way and carry a bouquet of roses; I am decidedly NOT a gardener. I enjoy looking at flowers, but I didn’t really care what type of flowers I would carry in my bouquet.
I started thinking about what I love — rain, books, music, my fiancée — and came up with the idea of paper flowers! I know this isn’t the first time someone’s hit upon the idea, but if you use a bouquet of paper flowers, it’s like having a bouquet of books! I love to read, my fiancée loves to read, and while we were dating we emailed each other about libraries we’d like to visit someday. Flowers? Not so much.
There are some lovely tutorials online about how to create a paper flower, and this way you can use a page or two of your favorite books (with the author’s permission, if you can get it), and if you want them to smell nice, you can spray them with perfume, and carry something meaningful down the aisle. Perhaps a bouquet of poems or love letters would work, too.
…Provided doing it myself doesn’t drive me crazy!
