I have a good friend from college who is from Oakland (but, sadly, now lives in NYC, after several years in Romania!)who is totally a kickass Jewish fiddler! She mostly does jazz but has done her fair share of awesome klezmer as well... Man, I even feel like you guys should know each other some how. My boyfriend's dad and stepmom met while dancing there, and I think they had Klemzer at their wedding (or maybe it was just Balkan dancing?).
