On of the things that makes me the most crazy about weddings is the sheer amount of wasted stuff. We don't throw parties for all of our nearest and dearest that often, so at the end of a wedding, you tend to end up with a bunch of stuff you can't use again - table cloths, candles, extra film, and on and on and on. If you have another friend getting married, you can happily pile it on her doorstep and ride off in to the sunset, but if not....
...Enter our newest sponsor BravoBride. This site has been set up as a giant craigslist-type site for buying and selling wedding items. It's affordable, its efficient, and it's green. The site sells everything from wedding dresses, to wedding rings, to tea-lights. Hooray! At the moment some featured items include 7 vases for $40, a Nicole Miller dress for $350, and a passel of votives for $5. And, to top it all off, a portion of their proceeds go to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign. So, go check it out!

Hey girl! That is actually 7 vases for $40. I thought it sounded a little too good to be true :-).

Thank you so much for passing this along! I was just talking about how we could buy table cloths for slightly more than the rental fee (by about $2), but have the ability to resell them afterwards. This site will be perfect (and maybe I can find some here for even less!).
Bravo! :)

That’s a great idea!
We don’t have anything like that in Australia I don’t think. But last year for a friend’s wedding they bought all the cutlery, crockery, table cloths and bits and pieces needed from charity shops and then when the wedding was over and everything was cleaned and polished they donated it back again. I thought that was a good idea.
