Team Practical, You Are Excellent

by Meg Keene, Editor-In-Chief

Team Practical, You Are Excellent | A Practical WeddingThank you ALL for your fantastic inspiring comments and links and good stuff today. It made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Now it turns out I’m not so much burned out as I am sick. That’s probably why everything I type turns out like “grumblefishgog” and I delete it immediately. So, now I’m going to go do what the picture suggests, and cuddle up. Once I feel better I’m trusting that the good ideas in my head will come out better on the page.

But! I leave you with this. One of the most awesome comments of the day came from Amanda, who writes the excellent blog First Milk. I’m not sure why she’s not one of the stars of the blog-o-sphere already, but she should be. Girl’s got sass, and man can she can write. So while I take a bit of time off and feel better, go read and leave comments.

    Oh my heavens!

Thank you for the kind words, lovely Meg. I’m not sure I’m worth such kind words (I’m actually blushing), but they made me deeply happy.

Enjoy your rest! Feel better. I wish you a wonderful and warm blanket for snuggling under, and maybe a hot water bottle, too.

GASP! That’s Glen Echo Park — exactly where i’m getting married next September! Oh, the inspiration — thank you, Meg!

Feel much better soon!! Enjoy some hot chocolate and pj’s and blankets and movies. That always works for me :-)

It’s a good time of year to just cuddle up with a good cup of something warm and the one you love (or a really adorable puppy).

And then in that warm cozy glow it’s amazing the inspiration that just strikes.

Or you could try the old Archemdies ‘Eurekaa” phenomenon and try blogging in a bath (disclamer: do not blog from a bath).

Sorry, that post deleting was me. (Typo which made the post confusing)

Meg, get well soon. I just wanted to say I enjoy following your blog.

I found this website recently: http://tackyweddings.com/ … you might find it amusing, and it might cheer you up!

I hope you feel better soon! I love your blog! I couldn’t have come across it at a better time! It was a couple of months ago and I was in the midst of wedding idea overload and your blog really grounded me and has kept me grounded and focused on what is really important.

A website I really enjoy is http://3191.visualblogging.com/ It is a compilation of daily photographs between two friends. The photos are so comforting and simple. They really open my eyes to life’s daily simplicities. Check it out if you like. Sometimes it is best to remember the little things.
