Today's wedding is one of those betwixt and between celebrations that I have such a soft spot for: not over the top, but not super minimalist either. (Lovely readers, send me more of these weddings!) Jenn and Martyn's city wedding was shot by the fabulous Kate Headley, and you can see more of it over here.
Let me count the ways I love this wedding: They used Falling Slowly as the song in their ceremony, and you know how I love that song.
They took the subway to their reception. Siigghhh....
And it had that big city no-fuss magic.
Yay! Cheers to you both! May the subway always remind you of that very first day in the very first chapter of your brand new book together.
Photos by Kate Headley

Hurray for this couple–they look like real and happy people. What a great idea (especially the subway).

ahhh i miss subways. where i’m from, they have old school trams and kids refers to them as ‘ding dings’ because of the sound of their horn. i would so have gotten married on one of those if i could!!

East Side-
Had they been subway riders (at least in NYC) you know as well as I do, the couple would have been totally coolly ignored. (except for the occasional hidden grin).
And that shot would be just as great.

Given the metro map behind the groom’s head it looks like DC.
