Read the Epithalamion aloud, or, better yet, have your favorite man read it to you. It was written by a groom for his bride (really).

And ditto the passage from the Odyssey.

My favorite is the final stanza of Keat's Ode to Psyche.

great post. i, too love the robbins. my friend melissa (one of the brigade!) adapted woodpecker for us for the reading–she interviewed both of us before the wedding to get details. she then substituted our details when asking “who knows how to make love stay?” it was perfect.

I have been loving the Tom Robbins/Wooodpecker quotes. The entire book is just full of beautiful, definitely different, quotes about love.
