I'm thrilled to get to write a post for one of my favorite girlfriends on the web, Peonies, who happens to be one half - along with her husband - of the most talented wedding photography duo in the UK. Perhaps you can prove to me that I am wrong, and that somewhere in the UK their is an equally talented pair of wedding photographers, but I'm dubious. So, Team Practical UK, let me tell you why you should without hesitation, hire Lillian and Leonard to shoot your wedding:
- They are ridiculously talented photographers. They don't take piles of those posed wedding-formal-blah pictures, but instead they shoot beautiful little works of art. Their photos surprise, delight, and even amuse. They capture tiny bits of truth as light on film.
- These are two people that you want to have at your wedding. I've had many a virtual pint with Peonies, and I can tell you, I really wish that she was going to be at my wedding bringing both her spirit and her artistry to the day. And she's just HALF of the duo.
- Lillian and Leonard are at that taking-off-like-rockets point in their career. Over the past year I've seen their work go from really-really-good, to knock-your-socks-off great. Soon, none of us might be able to afford them, so strike while the iron is hot.
- They are located in Scotland, but they are open to traveling around and about that great isle of yours (or, to quote Peony " or anywhere else you will take us.")
- They shoot ten hours of wedding coverage. TEN HOURS! Who even does that? And there are two of them. In sum: you will have every last thing covered, and it will be bloody brilliant.
- Have I mentioned Peony is funny? And sweet? And she and her husband are amazingly talented? Yes I believe I did. Now go browse around their blog and their website. And then book them, of course. Yay!!

There is a part of me that wishes we had booked them for our wedding (we booked our photographer before I had ‘met’ Peony) as I love their photos.
But then again, we went with what we were happy with at the time.
But one day, when I have lots of money to pay for photographers for no real reason, I will ask them to come and photograph us.

amen!! I love her blog and their work – if we were staying in the UK to get married I would definitely be getting in touch. We have some friends over here (UK) getting married and I have made my recommendation – you can’t go wrong really!

I want them to just shoot a day in my life. Peony, will you just follow me around and take pictures of me doing things like tromping and buying string cheese? Then we can go have drinks? Ok? Ok!

Yaaaay! They really are amazingly talented. If I could afford to bring them to Texas to shoot my wedding, I would. In a heartbeat. Or the blink of an eye, whichever is faster.

I just want to chime in really quickly about the general awesome-ness of the photographers associated with this blog. If we were in the UK, these guys would be amazing. But alas, we’re in California, but we found our photographer on this blog (Emily takes Photos!) and we had our engagement session last weekend, it was perfect. So, thank you Meg, for shining light on all these wonderful artists!

I saw her blog recently and was just awed… love, love, love her pics !
If I hadn’t booked already my photographer I would definitly have considered if it was worth making them cross the Channel.

OMG I had them bookmarked for the last couple of weeks in my very very shortlist of photographers (getting married in Scotland as well, wee!) and I never thought they were Peonies and Polaroids! I better get in contact soon now that you have let the cat out of the bag! :)

What? Peony and ‘the boy’ do wedding photography! Why did nobody tell me this before? The news comes too late for me as we tied the knot a few weeks ago now, but the photographs are stunning and I wish them all the best.
