i’m an LA bride too! brandi if you read this and wouldn’t mind sharing – could i get contact info for your DOC? we’re trying to do a lot of diy-ing and such ourselves, but i would love to hire a DOC just so i don’t go insane the day of or rely heavily on my family.
your wedding is amazing – and yes it’s all about the day after and every day after :)

What a wonderful wedding! Brandi, we are kindred spirits, i think. The dog poem made me laugh/cry. (Our dog is our “ring-bearer”. adopting him together was when i “knew”).

Fantastic. Of course we should expect nothing less than from the lady who names her blog “The Day After” – that is some serious perspective right there.

And Marie-Eve, in the last few weeks before my wedding I was often moved to tears by weddings featured here, and simultaneously grounded by different bride’s snippets of wisdom. I think APW is at it’s best in the eyes of the almost-bride… it should be required reading!

OK so maybe I’m a little overemotional right now three days away from my own wedding, in the midst of a fantastic love and support fest, but I cried because of this post. (It will also be my second and my fiance’s first btw).

Oh wow… this is serendipity… How inspiring, touching and beautiful! I love the relaxed and elegant approach – wonderful! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us!

(I find so many similarities – it will be my second marriage, and the first for my fiance, we are thinking of having the celebration held at the new house we are in the process of buying, and the ceremony will be a mix of two cultures. :-) )
