*Our* Photographers

by Meg Keene, Editor-In-Chief

*Our* Photographers | A Practical WeddingSo I’ve never come out and said this, but about a year ago now, right after we’d booked our venue, the very first wedding elves* we booked were Heather & Jon from One Love Photo. I can give you a million reasons as to why: that I cared about photos from the bottom of my heart, their amazing work, their use of multiple kinds of cameras, or the way Heather was a straight shooter and kept saying, “I could do that, but I just don’t like to rip people off.” I could tell you how we were lucky booking them when we did, and how we can’t possibly pay them what they are worth.

But really, why bother? This picture says it all.

*We only have two sets of wedding elves, in the end: photographers and caterers. The rest is friends and family, or really, love-love-love.

Beautiful photos. No explanation necessary. Just have to show us some pictures when it's all said and done:). And actually, you don't even have to do that.

No, Lovely… much to everyone's chagrin, I think I'm wearing the fabby shoes I already own. I just can't find any other ones I like as much.

Now if only I could get my dress sorted…. but that's another story.

Oh goodness I'm jealous. We had a dear friend take our photos, and she did a beautiful job, but having now spent the last 3 years looking at the work of some of the best in the industry (like One Love Photo!), I have to admit that I'd quintuple our photography budget to go back in time and get some of this kind of magic at our 2004 wedding.

well, I suppose that if you're happy with your already owned fabby shoes, we will be too.

And the dress, of course you'll get it sorted out. I can't wait to see the final reveal!

(we won't be able to tell if there are a few safety pins hidden in the bodice).

WOOHOO!! So excited for you, Meg.

One Love Photo does beautiful work. They're shooting me and my boy's October wedding and we couldn't be more thrilled with them.

Their work is pure magic. Which, naturally, is exactly what one gets from lovely, kind-hearted and talented elves. :)

That's my new husband & me! I CANNOT say enough good things about Heather & Jon. They were much more than photographers– they helped us with several things that went wrong during our wedding {trust me, there's always something!}. I'm actually not sure how we would have made it through the day without them. They put so much effort into what they do & were just a joy to be around. I would recommend them 100% to anyone. We love these 2 images and can't wait to see more! Photography is so important to us and we know that choosing One Love Photo as our photographers was one of the best decisions we made & we're so excited about the photos to come!
