Dear Team Practical

by Meg Keene, Editor-In-Chief

I have so much still to tell you guys…

About drinking white wine while a girlfriend and we practiced my (in the end) DIT hair and makeup.

About marriage counseling and how everyone should do it.

About how I now have a genuine silver sixpence tucked into my wedding shoes which makes them feel brand new, even though they are not.

But some of these stories are going to have to wait till after the wedding. I’m running a fever (literally) from trying to do too much, and we have a million small tasks to be done between now and the wedding. Oh, yes. And I want to be able to keep my sanity and enjoy all this.

So, I’ll be checking in here now and then (because I can’t help myself anyway), but I have to take the pressure off myself to post regularly over the next two weeks. I have faith that you guys will watch my back while I do this. (And yessss… I’ll have posts scheduled for you while I’m off on my honeymoon. HONEYMOON! Just the word gets me excited!)

xoxo
Meg

Feel better soon Meg! Your wedding will be so beautiful and you're going to have so much fun – I can't wait to see pictures and read your stories.

Don't forget to get lots of sleep – even though it takes time out of the day when you could be getting stuff done, it will help you feel better faster, feel more calm, and allow you to accomplish more. Besides, it might be the best quality time you get with the mister before the wedding!

    Best wishes! Good luck!

I did the same thing! A week and a half out from the wedding I had a 102 fever and it took me 3 days before I could even be vertical for more than an hour. LOTS and LOTS of fluid, (helps flush the system and means you have to get up and moving every so often). Ask for help and delegate!! Best wishes hun.

i've been reading this blog for over a year, and i can't believe that your wedding is finally here. yeee.

i hope you feel better, but moreso, i hope you have a glorious, deeply meaningful and joyous day (…and life together!)

After the wedding is over – or maybe you want to reflect on it now? – can you write about your experience with marriage counseling? How you found a counselor, the general issues you discussed, etc?
I can't remember reading a post about it, but if you did, you could also likewise tell me around when you wrote about it and i will search.

and finally, best wishes for a joyful day! for your wedding day, and for ever day.

No, Erin, I'll post about it after the wedding. We were lucky, we used our Rabbi, which is part of being a member of a synagogue. But I'll talk more about it in a few weeks.
