Dear Team Practical,
Hello from the world of blog re-design. It is crazy here. It's a giant flurry of emails, business-y stuff, not-freaking-out, design questions, totally-freaking-out, re-tagging posts, taking deep breaths, more business-y stuff, and then taking a break and having a drink.
Which is a nice way to say, we're entering the last three weeks homestretch here, and the idea that I'm going to create five brand new posts a week is... unrealistic. It's starting to get unrealistic to think that I'm going to read all my email, but that's a whole other question.
So I'm asking you to please bear with me. Posting is going to be a bit light (smack me if it's not). Also, as I've been going through the archives to sort them for the new site (yes, you'll be able to FIND things), I've been happening on posts I love that I'd forgotten about. So I'm going to lean a bit on 'Classic APW' posts for the next few weeks. I know that might bore the four of you who have been reading my blog from the start, but for the rest of you, hopefully it will be interesting. You'll get to see cool weddings you missed, and Meg-as-you-never-knew-her, a little younger and a little less wise.
But mostly, just hang in there. I swear this will be worth it in the end. And in the meantime I'm going to have a whisky.
xo
Meg

Hey, maybe I'll have a whisky too, in, uh…solidarity! Yeah that's it, Team Practical whisky drinking solidarity…
Seriously, though, you're doing awesome! :)

Meg, seriously, don't even worry about not entertaining us enough while you prepare to wow us with a new design… we know it's worth the wait!
Plus, I love "Classic APW", since I haven't been here since the very beginning. So thank you!

Really looking forward to it, and the site redesign. Take it easy!

The best cocktail for sipping and relaxing, IMHO, is the classic Manhattan. Whiskey, sweet and dry vermouth, aromatic bitters, and a sweet cherry. In fact, I'm going to mix one up right now!
Meg, thanks for all that you do for Team Practical. We'll be here happily waiting the revamped APW.

Ahem, five of us.
I was just too scared to comment at first.
Happy designing, Meglet.

Meg, we got engaged at the same time, our weddings, were within a week of each other, and I have been reading you since "the beginning." I can't remember a single entry that bored me, so it will only bring back memories of what I went through when "the classics" were new! you know, without some of the stress… good luck with the changes!

Little though my site may be, when I did a redesign of it a year ago it was a big thing for me. I imagine it's like watching your kid grow up. I can't wait to see what your kid blossoms in to.

1. Mmmm, whiskey. Whiskey = good. :D
2. A younger Meg, a "little less wise" sounds really familiar, mostly because it seems like it's so similar to what I'm dealing with now. So I'm excited for that, actually.
2a. …and if our patience is the price for your sanity, then that's an easy choice. Especially if it means posts are tagged and we can search and it improves this already awesome website. How do you argue with that??
3. Meg, I go back and re-read posts from you. I've read your F*ck It Moment post like, three times. I've read about your shoes, and your dress, and the flowers…. So far I still keep soaking it up. So posts that may be old, that I haven't read yet?? Bring it on. :)
Good luck! Enjoy the whiskey!

Dang it. Now I have gone and added all of "the four of you" to my already engorged reader feed. Can't resist the good writing.
