Jenn Link Photography in the DC (and beyond!)

Jenn Link Photography in the DC (and beyond!) | A Practical Wedding

**Update: Please contact Jenn at jennlink at gmail dot com. She’s having email issues. Also, if you’ve contacted her and haven’t heard back, email her directly. The interweb is eating her mail!**

Today I’m delighted to talk to you a little bit about Jenn Link Photography. Jenn is located in the Washington DC area (along with scads of you guys, APW DC book club FTW). But, beyond that Jenn also travels to the Philadelphia and New York City areas very affordably. So eastern seaboard ladies, this one is for you.

Jenn Link offers affordable wedding photography, with packages starting at $3,000 (and all packages include all your images, hooray!). But, it gets better. Because Jenn is super fond of you guys, she gives all APW couples a standard 10% off, always. But if you book her in the next six weeks, she’s upping the ante: you get your choice of a second photographer or 2 extra hours of coverage added to the basic collection. This discount is good for all remaining 2011 & 2012 weddings. Personally, I’d take that free second shooter and run with it!

Jenn is not just an APW sponsor, she’s a long time member of this community. She’s been reading APW since 2008 (the beginning!), first as a bride, and then as a business owner.

{Picture of Jenn at a client’s wedding. She says this captures her silly self perfectly. I love.}

So naturally, when I asked her why she liked to work with APW-ers, she told me this, “I just love that for the most part APW-ers are just like me. I used APW as a HUGE resource when I was planning my 2009 wedding and I feel like APW brides are totally my kind of people!”

It turns out this is key, because it meshes so well with her artistic philosophy. Jenn says, “I take a relaxed approach to wedding and portrait photography. I am pretty low key and love for my clients to feel like they really know me and that we are all friends so that by the time the wedding day rolls around it’s more comfortable and the pictures are much more relaxed and intimate.” And with you guys, she knows you are going to be friends from day one.

And then their are the pictures. Oh, the pictures. It’s such a delight for me to see the way that Jenn’s work has evolved. When she started advertising with APW, she was just building her wedding portfolio, and now? Wow. Her work has a mix of everything— beautifully composed portraits, evocative details, and real emotion.

All that, and she really, really gets you guys, on a gut level. And that is where the real magic is. So go browse, enjoy, make magic together, and send me the pictures. Deal? Deal.

    Yay Jenn!! I ws so excited when I saw this post go up :) We haven’t yet figured out how we are going to avoid Jenn-Jenn confusion on the big day, but we will come up with something :)

    I really enjoyed our engagement session, and Jenn really put Brandon at ease too which was awesome. AND I thought the pictures came out beautifully (am I allowed to say that about my own pics?) Suffice it to say I have loved working with Jenn so far, and I have her to thank for introducing me to APW actually. Long story, to be shared extensively in my grad post :) Can’t wait for the main event in September!!

    Aw, this was a really nice post. Taking a few minutes
    and actual effort to generate a great article… but what can I say…
    I procrastinate a whole lot and never manage to get nearly anything done.
