One sentence sum up of the wedding vibe: The most relaxing, family-filled summer week of our lives capped with an amazing afternoon of love, music, and incredible food.
The Info—Photography: calin + bisous photo (APW Sponsor) / Ceremony Venue: First Parish Church Congregational / Reception Venue: Private estate in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA / Catering: Season to Taste / Band: East Coast Soul / Kate’s Dress: Watters / Conor’s Suit: Bar III from Macy’s
Other cool stuff we should know about: Conor emigrated from Northern Ireland to the U.S. and our wedding was the first time that his parents and all four siblings would be together in one place in about seven years. This was also the first time I was meeting several of Conor’s family and friends (including his sister who was a bridesmaid!) so it was really important that they felt involved with everything that went on in the week leading up to the ceremony. My family and friends were amazing when it came to offering guest rooms, transportation, and lots of happy hour get-togethers to make everyone feel included. As is tradition with my friends from home, we headed to the beach the morning of the wedding to toast the sunrise with muffins and mimosas. The morning of the wedding, my bridesmaids and I got ready in my grandmother’s apartment at my aunt and uncle’s house. She had passed away earlier in the summer so being there made me feel like she was still a part of it all.The reverend who performed our ceremony also married my parents which was so special. We hosted the reception at the estate my father supervised for many years. It was a big leap for me to ask the owners‘ permission but it was beyond worth it for the setting we had.

Favorite thing about the wedding: Conor: The ceremony. Being surrounded by people we love bearing witness to our marriage was more important to me than I anticipated. Kate: I adored seeing Conor together with his family. He was so happy and I loved getting to know them better. I mean it when I say that the week before was the best of my life. The fact that I got married at the end was a bonus. A really incredible bonus.

This is beautiful! It really does convey such joy, and the feel of a summer day with the smell of salt on the breeze – I admit it, this post made me INCREDIBLY homesick for the Atlantic coast …

Thanks Mimi! The car is my godfather’s ’57 Chevy. When he picked up my dad and I to bring us to the church he popped in a tape of “Chapel of Love” by the Dixie Cups and we all sang along. It was so funny.

Muffins and mimosas… Breakfast of champions.
Congrats! And I love how your favorite thing was seeing him with his family! My fella is a transatlantic transplant as well, and just watching him talk on the phone with his sister makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside for him. :)

Thanks Maggie. It was so special! It was really a side of him I hadn’t been able to see too much of. We’re going to Ireland for Christmas this year and I can’t wait to have him show me around his home turf!

It’s worth noting that Kate and her bridesmaids (under Kate’s direction) did all of the flowers for the wedding! She’s got a knack!

Ahh, I love reliving these memories! What a beautiful couple! That week almost single handedly made me move back East less than 2 months later.

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments. This was really fun. Callie is such a talented photographer and I’m so happy I found her on APW. I’m happy I found APW period while we were planning the wedding as it made a huge impact on me.

Does anyone know any good books for wedding coordinators? I am looking specifically for a book on many wedding themes. More specifically a newer one. Thank you:)

Everyone is so happy in this seaside wedding. I can also see that the live music can really get the guests in the mood to party. And once the party gets going, wedding photographers Minneapolis must be hired in order to beautifully capture the bustle. The photos will be keepsakes that you can look at every time and see how everyone enjoyed your special day.
