Other cool stuff we should know about: Our awesome friend Scout officiated and our best friends serenaded us at dinner by ukelele to Rainbow Connection! Our cat Greenlee wasn’t able to attend because his tux was at the cleaners, but Alexis created a Greenlee logo that we included on our stationary and favors to make sure he wasn’t excluded from the big day!
Favorite thing about the wedding: We were thrilled to have a drama-free weekend, full of joy and love from our amazing family and friends! The amount of fun we had can’t be captured in words, and we’re still reeling with love and happiness from the whole weekend!

The cat cake toppers! The tuxedo cat on the CD (looks like my tuxedo baby)! The crying! The Joy! Congrats!
Also, a friend sent me the video for “Somebody’s Getting Married” on my wedding day and it made me giddy. LOVE!

I watched “Muppets Take Manhattan” when I woke up on my wedding day, which got my sister upset because she planned to show “Somebody’s Getting Married” and the wedding scene during our cocktail hour. It all worked out though and was a really sweet surprise by my sis.
We cut our cake to “I’ve Got Everything I Need” from the most recent Muppet movie and the final song of the night was “Rainbow Connection.” Our photographer even put the online slideshow of our wedding photos to a non-Muppet version of “Rainbow Connection.”
The Muppets definitely have the perfect music for special occasions!

Usually I look at wedding photos and think, “Wow, how nice!” I looked at these photos and thought, “How can I go back in time and score an invitation?”

Alexis and Marie – super special – I’m lucky to have such an awesome daughter and daughter-in-law! On top of that, her friends are the absolute sweetest people; filled with love and joy, truly wonderful in every sense of the word. I want to go back in time and do the whole wedding again.
