reclaiming wife

Cool stuff we should know about: We were originally going to get married at the Ladies’ Pavillion in Central Park, until a snow storm hit the city. Snow began to fall at 11:00AM on the day of the wedding. At 2:00PM we had nowhere to be married. It was between a conference room at On the Ave hotel or the Museum of Natural History… We chose the more beautiful location.

One sentence sum up of the wedding vibe: Crazy and unpredictable.

Favorite thing about the wedding: We will always have a good story to tell, and we have beautiful photos to remember it by.

    Wow.

Y’all would have me planning a guerilla wedding in a heartbeat had I not put a $1000 deposit on a place already. But sweet jesus, that is beautiful.

Thank you for keeping things in perspective for me. It’s so easy to get caught in the one big starry dream of how The Wedding should be. At the end of the day, it’s the fact that your getting married that matters.

Amazing! The spontaneity of it makes it that much more beautiful. I’m totally inspired to try some guerrilla tactics of my own.

I would love to know how the museum staff reacted to the ceremony!

Thank you for your wonderful comments. The museum staff was awesome! They allowed us to have our wedding at the last minute and asked that we just give a donation. At closing time they let us stay longer to finish up our photos. I was so thankful!

This is amazing! I would hope that I’d be able to roll with it if something as big as my venue changed at the last minute. What a great story to tell your kids someday!

Can I just say, seeing these beautiful, snowy pictures is SO REFRESHING during this abominable heat wave?

Being in love, in the cold, surrounded by snowfall sounds pretty damn awesome right now (well, always, but especially right now).
