One sentence sum up of the wedding vibe: Low key and fun…the bride and groom swam in the lake just before the wedding—enough said?

The Info—Photographer: Calin Peters (APW Sponsor) / Location: Post Mills, Vermont / Venue: Ohana Family Camp / Sarah’s Dress: Ouma / Sarah’s Shoes: Anthropologie / Sarah’s Hair and Makeup: Her amazing multitalented cousin / Zach’s Suit: From the discount rack at Men’s Wearhouse / Zach’s Shirt: Gap, frantically purchased by the groom and his brother the day before the wedding / Flowers: Artfully arranged by dear friend Jill Ferguson / Food: The Barefoot Gourmet. Amazing and creative—vegetarians and meat eaters were equally happy! / Bar Caterers: Wünder Bar & Co. They dealt with a dead battery in their truck and needing to restock on white wine during the reception with great calm and professionalism.

Other cool stuff we should know about: Almost all of the guests stayed at the camp, so we got to spend an amazing weekend with everyone. It felt more like an amazing reunion of all of our favorite and most loved friends and family than a wedding. The ceremony and reception were just an added bonus. Everyone chipped in to help and we truly were able to relax and enjoy every minute…except for saying goodbye to everyone on Sunday.

Favorite thing about the wedding: Seeing so many smiling faces, dancing our asses off, post-wedding bonfire…so many favorites!

    So adorable, such joy!

I’m just putting this out into the universe: I would like to be invited to a camp wedding someday.

Wow, every single one of these pictures captures an awesome moment. Just wow.

I scrolled through the pictures before reading the blurb at the top and found myself wondering, “How have they managed to gather so many warm, stylish friends who look like they run artistic non-profits?” Seeing your job title, I guess there might actually be some truth to that, or maybe you just know a lot of people who wear drape-y scarves and know how to party!

I used to work at another summer camp in Post Mills and thought seriously about trying to have the wedding there. I wish I had done it :) Your wedding looks so beautiful. I can just imagine what a lovely day it must have been. Congrats!

That black and white portrait of those three kids is THE BEST.

“It felt more like an amazing reunion of all of our favorite and most loved friends and family than a wedding. The ceremony and reception were just an added bonus.” Thanks for putting into words what I couldn’t figure out how to say was my favorite thing about our wedding. Yours looks perfectly lovely, so full of memorable moments with your loved ones.

Oh, the dandelion picture, and the doorway picture just below it, and the black-and-white backlit railing picture … sigh! What gorgeous moments to remember.

Also, “Zach’s Shirt: Gap, frantically purchased by the groom and his brother the day before the wedding” – ahahahaha. It’s like a peek into my fiancé’s future.
