Other cool stuff we should know about: The chandelier was my grandmother’s; it now hangs over our kitchen table. The wood slab centerpieces and table number holders were chopped from a fallen oak tree branch on Brian’s brother’s property. Wine was made by Brian and his brother, and the labels were a watercolor I painted. The beer was brewed by Brian and my brother-in-law. There were all natural lip balm favors made by Brian and me in mom-in-law’s kitchen. My brother painted our thumbprint tree guestbook. My mom made napkins (and she is currently reusing them for a quilt in our baby’s room—due in February). All six of our nieces and nephews were involved. Although one had to be dragged by an older nephew. Brian’s elementary school friend wrote the processional as an ode to all of our favorite songs. We were married by my good friend and former teen center “boss.” Oh, and we had a double rainbow that came out during my dad’s toast. He passed away six months later. It is a beautiful memory.

Favorite thing about the wedding: I love how friends and family still make a point of telling us, three years later, how it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding. We agree.

Whoa whoa whoa, I love everything about these gorgeous shots! Including the soundtrack with which to scroll through them. Congrats to you both and can I please request a double rainbow at my own (fingers crossed no rain) outdoor nuptials? The small details mentioned at the end are so touching as is incorporating all your nieces and nephews…. And your Mom made that dress? Seriously, wonderful!

Good lord, what a gorgeous bride! Your dress and your whole look are just … wow. On a slightly less shallow note, I adore everything about this wedding from the aesthetic choices to the meaningful, personal contributions that went into it, but the love and joy shining from the faces of your friends and family are just the best.

I thought the chandelier was so pretty, like it even more since it was sentimental too. Beautiful wedding!
