Introducing Elicia Bryan Photography in Atlanta!

How many different ways can I say these photos are amazing?

When I first opened up Elicia Bryan’s portfolio, I think my mouth let out a little squeak. I can’t always quantify what makes stunning wedding photography, but man do I know it when I see it. And Atlanta wedding photographer Elicia Bryan Photography is stunning wedding photography. Elicia’s style is moody and romantic and everything I love about photography right now, but approached in a way that still feels honest. But what makes Elicia Bryan Photography extra special isn’t just her style. It’s that she’s one of you too. And she’s using her own experience as half of a wedding-planning couple to make herself into the kind of photographer that you want to work with, just for the sake of having her around. But enough talk. Let’s take a minute to soak in a few images:

Whew. Did you catch all that? Do you need to go back again to look? Because I would understand if you did. They are THAT good. In fact, when I first started writing this post, I had a really hard time choosing which photos to feature. Not because Elicia’s images aren’t great on their own, but because Elicia’s talent for storytelling becomes so obvious when you see all her images together. Particularly her detail shots. The wedding industry has become so convoluted with staged detail photos, that we’re losing a lot of the storytelling that gets told in living details (like that dress buttoning shot above, OMG), and it’s a rare thing to find a photographer who can make a detail from your day have as much emotion as a portrait or candid shot. Which, of course, is exactly what Elicia Bryan Photography is all about:

When it comes down to it, the most important thing is that I’m making images that matter to real people. I’m interested in capturing genuine and honest moments that tell the story of how the day actually felt (instead of photos of how it’s “supposed to” feel according to the wedding industry). My heart beats faster for images filled so full with love that you can literally feel it when you see them. I don’t believe in cheesy posing and I love setting a stage for people to feel comfortable and natural with each other in front of the camera. Every wedding is a new/amazing/unique story to tell. I feel so honored when I’m given the HUGE opportunity to be the one to tell it.

Now let’s talk a little about why you want Elicia Bryan Photography at your wedding. (Because believe it or not, it’s not just for the photos. Though to be clear, they WOULD be enough. And I haven’t even gotten into how amazing her engagement and lifestyle photos are either. Yowza.) Elicia originally found APW while planning her own wedding (turned elopement). So girlfriend gets what you guys are up against. She told me:

During the first part of our engagement when we were just starting to plan our wedding, I remember thinking, “WHY is there so much to planning this, and why are these vendor policies so complicated? Can’t I just buy a pretty dress and marry the man I love in a place that will be beautiful in photos?” (I guess that’s the photographer in me) …So we are running away to Iceland this August (with two photographer friends, of course!) and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. That’s not to say that eloping is for everyone. (Far from it!) But planning my own wedding has really seeped into my business in the best possible way. Because of those first few months of planning our wedding and remembering how complicated and stressful it was at times, I now understand how my couples are likely feeling when they reach out to me. Because of that, I feel that it’s my job to simplify the whole photography portion of the process as much as possible. I really want my couples to feel well taken care of and like they are being treated fairly every step of the way.

  • Full day coverage
  • USB drive of fully edited, hi-res images with print rights
  • Online gallery for ordering professional prints
  • Complimentary rehearsal dinner coverage or day before session
  • An engagement session where I fly to you can be added for only $400. No extra travel fees
  • A second shooter can be added for $400. No extra travel fees

These special rates are valid through May 31, 2014 (the wedding can be any time, that’s just the book-by date.) And since Elicia is all about making things easy on you, her package prices are always easy and straightforward. She says, “As an engaged person myself, I understand how hard planning a wedding can be. I want to make things less stressful for my couples by keeping things as simple as possible. My pricing is straightforward. I don’t do packages or limit hours. I have two rates: one local rate and one national rate. I strive to keep the entire process as easy as possible leading up to the wedding day.” Elicia even offers elopements for just $1,000 anywhere in the country. Because she’s obviously nuts.

Oh my goodness, gorgeous…. I know what I’m going to do today! And aside from the lovely photography… it is so nice when vendors just want to help people have an easy fun wedding day, no weird contract clauses, or WIC business… I don’t suppose she’s always wanted to come to New Mexico ;)

    • Elicia

Hey Caitlin! So sorry I didn’t see this comment sooner. Thank you for your kind words. New Mexico would be lovely. Feel free to enter the giveaway. I’d love to hear your story!

No problem. I would love to enter, but alas, the wedding isn’t in 2014. I hope you get to go somewhere amazing for the winner though!
