A lot of times I’m alerted before an engagement session that the one partner is extremely uncomfortable in front of the camera. I try to make it easy for them by telling them to just do what feels natural and right and I will do the rest, and by the end of their session, they are often setting up their own shots! I love how much confidence can come from making it a point to help people feel comfortable with themselves and their surroundings, and reinforcing that it’s all good.
