Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
APW couples are in love! They’re excited to be getting married, love DIY details, are DRAMA-FREE, and they’re people I could be friends with. It’s so important that I connect with my clients on a personal level. We’re going to be spending the most important day of a couple’s life together! I want to provide a stress free, fun experience for the couple’s I work with. I love a less traditional couple-Having a First Look allows for a private, intimate moment (and ample time for portraits) between the couple prior to the ceremony beginning. This allows for more time for the couple to ENJOY their day. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
My artistic approach to weddings is editorial to photojournalistic. I want to capture the moments as the day unfolds unobtrusively but also, provide a little guidance to my couples if they need it. I want my couples to feel comfortable in their own skin so it shines through in their images. If that means providing a Kleenex, helping re-apply lipstick or even deodorant on a hot day, I’m there.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Aside from spending time with my husband Jon, I love to paint, cook, and throw on the potter’s wheel. I LOVE pop culture, E Entertainment, and Fashion. I adore cosmetics even though I don’t usually wear much makeup. I live for trashy magazines like Us Weekly and Life and Style. I love shopping for new clothes and interior decor. I volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House as a Front Desk volunteer and donate to the Make-A-Wish foundation. I love the beach and wearing flips flops. We’re planning a trip abroad to Europe for the near future (I hope). I have 2 cats, George and Buddy. They provide mindless entertainment!
What’s your favorite book?
I’m not embarrassed to admit that I love Chic-lit. On a more serious note, The History of Love by Nicole Krauss is one of my favorites!!

If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
It Ain’t Me by CCR. I’m a total hippie at heart!
