Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
I love couples who truly understand that the day is about the marriage and the wedding is a celebration to share that commitment with those closest to you. It’s very rare in life to be in a room where you can say that every person there loves you and you love them. Rare indeed. And I am so blessed that couples I’ve met through APW have become friends and I’ve watched as their coupledom has blossomed into a little family.
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
I love weddings because they are a blend of portraiture, still, editorial, and photojournalism. Essentially, weddings represent my favorite aspects of photography. I hope to capture every wedding uniquely as no two weddings are ever the same. I want each couple to forever look at their photos and think, “Yes, Cherry captured us and we look GOOD!”
I also offer a photo booth!
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
I can never read enough, travel enough, learn languages enough, watch movies enough, or eat sushi enough! Besides those hobbies I love laughing with my husband of 14 years and also doing anything to make my 4-year-old niece laugh.
What’s your favorite book?
That is such a TOUGH question to ask a bookworm! I would have to say that I’m a groupie for these authors: Jane Austen, J.R. Rowling, Simon Winchester, Michael Lewis, and Thomas L. Friedman, Ray Bradbury, and Madeleine L’Engle. Do authors usually have groupies??
What’s your favorite movie?
I can watch any end-of-the-world movie over and over and over… (much to the chagrin of my husband). Terminator 1 and 2, 2012, Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day, Armageddon, Deep Impact, should I keep listing them?
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
Two songs create insta-dance party at my desk: “Get Into the Groove” by Madonna and “Sunday Morning” by No Doubt.
