Why do you want to work with APW Couples?

A wedding is a wedding! Doesn’t matter who’s getting married or the size of the budget. It’s one of the biggest, most important days of a couple’s life and being a part of the celebration is an immense honor.

Describe your artistic approach to weddings?

First and foremost, listening to the couple’s vision for their wedding is key. I’ll take inspiration from them first, (eg. their invitations, particular theme, color schemes, etc.) then add in my own suggestions to take their vision over the top. I’m always trying new techniques. Doing the same thing over and over is boring so I’m always striving to create new and fresh twists on proven methods. I like the idea of one-of-a-kind cakes to reflect my clients’ personalities.

What are your non-work-related hobbies?

Reading, cooking (other than wedding cakes!), knitting, training our puppy to be a gentleman!

What’s your favorite book?

I just finished reading “The Help.” Fantastic! (Can’t wait to see the movie)

If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?

I’m a hopeless dancer, but I’d always be inspired by “I Am Woman” by Helen Reddy.
