Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
In the course of planning my own wedding I discovered APW. “These are my people!” I thought to myself. As I morphed into a vendor, it hasn’t surprised me that a large percentage of my customers are from A Practical Wedding, because I think like attracts like. I enjoy providing products for people who have a down to earth attitude about weddings and are also just…good people!
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
I design wedding invitations and paper goods that range from the tried and true (floral, vintage designs) to a few that are more unexpected, design-y or even masculine, like my modern circles design. My printable paper goods are for those like myself who are ‘half-assed’ crafters, meaning you enjoy DIY projects, but only if it’s kind of easy and not a major ordeal that requires a lot of obscure tools, too much time or superhuman technical skill.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
I maintain a blog about life in Munich with a focus on design, the arts and living the good life, from an American expats perspective. I am also an avid eater and drinker.
What’s your favorite book?
I can’t pick one, but some that spring to mind: To Kill a Mockingbird, Freedom, Beloved, and The Posionwood Bible.
What’s your favorite movie?
Also hard to pick one. Thelma and Louise, Crash, I also really liked that old movie ‘Starman’ with a young, hot Jeff Bridges as a robotic yet loving space alien.
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
It’s Your Thang, by the Isley Brothers
