Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
APW couples are special, celebrating all of the quirks and moments that have been and are still yet to come. You embrace each other, your families, and, frankly, us :) in ways that I have never seen or felt before. You are the most real, smartest, quirkiest, sweetest, most authentic people we’ve EVER (is there anything that can stress this more than CAPS??) had the pleasure of working with. In the end, we find it impossible not to become your friends, and frankly we’d be happy if we only ever worked with you guys. Is that cool with you too?
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
We work to tell your story with our bag o tricks which includes handmade lenses, toy cameras, polaroids, you name it – to give your photos the look and feeling when looking at them that you were there in the moment.
That said, at the end of the day it’s all about you. Don’t want “mushy” pictures? There won’t be. Want your portraits taken with your cows? How quickly can we sign up? Plan on taking a leisurely stroll through Central Park immediately following your ceremony? We’ll wear our walking shoes.
We really just want to make you happy, and have a heck of a fun time doing it.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
When not behind a camera, I can be found loving NYC in all sorts of ways, thrifting secondhand objects and wearables (such as vinyl records, framed needlepoints, high-waisted patterned skirts), streaming movies and television shows (Firefly, Homeland, & Parks and Recreation are in my recent history) on my hearty mac, craving sushi on an hourly basis, and doing crossword puzzles.
What’s your favorite book?
My favorite book is a collection of short stories by Miranda July called, “No One Belongs Here More Than You.”
What’s your favorite movie?
Just saw it recently, but You Only Live Once is freakin outta control… plus Henry Fonda is all sorts of charm.
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
Definitely—4 non blondes, “What’s Up?”
