Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
The APW philosophy matches mine to a tee. I believe in open communication, building strong relationships with my clients, and making the entire experience beyond joyous for all involved. Plus, APW couples seem to really know what they want! I love to work with passionate people who have a vision.
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
From the early hours of your wedding day to the moment you wave your last guests into the night, I want to be there to tell your story. I want to get to know your mothers and fathers, siblings and best friends, and blend into the chaotic wondrousness that is your celebration.
I never use excessive filters or Photoshop processing – I want the images to carry the reality of the moment. The beauty and of honesty your experience is what will shine through!
My favorite way to work is without dictated hours or formalities. Being present for you and your loved ones is the best service I can give, since that will make them comfortable enough to be photographed at their most relaxed and joyous. This is what defines my style- I want to be there for every part of your day, your night before, your morning after, whatever part of your experience you want captured. Let me be a part of it, and we will make it a story with images worth treasuring.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
I’m an artist, so I actually photograph a great deal in my off-time, and I still shoot almost all film! I photograph most when I’m traveling, visiting dear friends near and far, and enjoying nature. I am also obsessed with cooking and baking and am happiest when entertaining a close group of friends. Picnics & dinner parties are my favorite events to organize – especially because I can cook for and photograph all of them!
What’s your favorite book?
Anything by Carson McCullers, Eudora Welty, or John Berger.
What’s your favorite movie?
His Girl Friday with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. Their on screen comedic chemistry sparkles and pops like no other!
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
“Dancin’ in the Moonlight” by King Harvest. It’s also perfect to dance to at a wedding!
Explain your travel policy:
I love to photograph out of town! I only charge exact expenses for travel, and sometimes waive the fees entirely! This is especially possible for Sothern CA, IL & NYC.
