Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
If APW had been around when I was planning my wedding in 2007, I would’ve been all about it. We had a vegetarian, DIY, indie, offbeat, LGBT-friendly wedding and I loved every minute of it! So I want to work with couples like me at weddings as awesome as mine was.
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
I shoot weddings with digital as well as film and toy cameras. Playing with different formats and cameras allows me to deliver photos as cool, artistic, and unique as the subjects.
I have degrees in both Literature and Film Production and those come out in my photography with a strong sense of storytelling and cinemtatic compositions. I’m also a documentary filmmaker and my love of documentaries leads to an emphasis on capturing candid and genuine moments and images.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Roller derby – not as a skater, but as a fan and photographer, music and concerts, sewing and embroidery, cats and turtles
What’s your favorite movie?
The Royal Tenenbaums
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
Here Comes Your Man by the Pixies
