Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
APW couples just get it. It’s not that they don’t get stressed-out or nervous about the wedding, but they always have their priorities straight – they know that it’s really all about the marriage, the meeting of families, and the creating of a brand new little family. I love that they come up with personal vows that are guaranteed to make me tear up, I love the genuine emotion that I get to witness and document all day long.
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
My first photographic love was portraiture. I always want my couples to walk away with some gorgeous portraits of the two of them. What I love about weddings is that no matter how long you’ve been photographing them, every wedding is unique. Every wedding is made of a group of people that will probably never again be in the same room together, and I love that. I’m watching to find the face the split-second before it erupts in laughter or tears up. I want all my clients to look at their images and feel like they had a real sense for everyone that was there, because, in the end, that is always what makes a wedding unique.
