If we have to fly, we ask you to get us there & put us up for the night(s). We have family & friends in the following locations and don't charge a lodging fee when we can avoid it! LVR Events helps couples create the wedding that THEY want. With a background in logistics and a love for all things pretty, we work with our couples to ensure a fun & stress-free planning experience. We’re sane & we love what we do, and it shows!
Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
We want to work with people who are madly in love and ready to show that love to the world with a meaningful ceremony & then to celebrate that love with a kick-a$$ party! We know a lot of wedding planners who subscribe to the bigger is better and more is more philosophy. Not us. We love weddings of all shapes and sizes – 250 people in black tie or 30 people in flip-flops, it doesn’t matter to us as long as the vows are sincere and the personalities of the couple are reflected throughout the celebration. We are not interested in working with couples who can quote Emily Post (or expect us to). We want to work with couples who want to do what’s right for them, as opposed to what’s right according to the powers that be.
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
We really want our clients to enjoy their entire wedding INCLUDING the planning process. So, we strive to get to know what makes them happy & what stresses them out. Then we work to get rid of the latter. We are very organized – and we are way awesome at making checklists and schedules. Sadly, we find that sort of thing fun. We wear a lot of hats throughout the life of a wedding – we’re mediators, therapists, secretaries, shoppers, friends, devil’s advocates (sometimes someone’s gotta do it), but most of all, we’re DOERS. We get it done – on time, and fabulously, without stress & drama.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Wine tasting, baking, and travel, to name a few. We also love spending time with family (including some pretty adorable puppies).
What’s your favorite book?
Classic: A Farewell to Arms by the fabulous Ernest Hemingway
Modern: anything by Sedaris, Notaro, Burroughs, Lancaster, etc. (laughing while reading ranks high on life’s pleasures).
What’s your favorite movie?
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (and pretty much any vintage Liz Taylor).
