Now it is important to note that we browsed for quite a while before selecting. We oogled over photos, deliberated over contracts, but when we saw Leah & Mark - a lightbulb went off. This was for us. This lightbulb became a glowing ball of light as soon as I had the pleasure of speaking to Mark via the phone the day after I requested the quote. He called me from Phoenix and worked with my time schedule - even going as far as to get up before dawn in order to accommodate me. He is very funny and knowledgable and we just clicked. This was emphasized even greater when we received our contract and it was entitled "The Ravenclaw". My husband about passed out from enjoyment and we signed that day.

Describe your business in 1-3 short sentences.
I (Mark) almost died a few years ago from a rare autoimmune disease (dermatomyositis) – so now, I go all out. Being as present as I can, spending time with people that I loves.
Weddings are amazing times and I’d love to tell you more about how I’ll make bags full of awesome for you (awesome wedding photos!)
Why do you want to work with APW couples?
APW couples are strong, unique, and usually have brilliant brains. Of course we want to hangout with them!
What is your artistic approach to weddings?
Our photos have a cinematic quality reminiscent of films from the 60′s, 70′s and more recent films like The Royal Tenenbaums. Other influences include The Sound of Music, The Graduate, and Dutch painter Jan Vermeer. We tend to use a warm palette of colors, which is a departure from the crisp and modern look that many wedding photographers currently produce.
We also strive for a consistent level of quality throughout the entire wedding set—and we’ll show you more than just a few hand picked photos because we’re professionals who don’t just get ‘lucky’ shots. A good photo shouldn’t tell you it’s good, you should feel that way just by seeing it. The clients that hire us understand that their pictures aren’t going to look like anyone else’s wedding photos. We believe more often than not, the coolest shot isn’t necessarily one that’s setup and meant to be cool. The coolest photos to us are the ones that embody the love, emotion and atmosphere of the wedding day.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Food. Chinese food. Although—we eat Chinese food like it’s our job. Okay. Non-work-related hobby… other than eating food… traveling. Everywhere. And road trips. Do those count as hobbies? Let’s say yes.

Empire Records. Because it’s Rex Manning day and you can’t be sad on Rex Manning Day!
