Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
I love photographing REAL couples. I absolutely adore what Meg says in the description of APW: wedding realism mixed in with wedding prettiness. My favorite weddings are those that reflect a couple’s style and personality – whether that’s a backyard BBQ or a beach soirée. I think APW readers are their OWN trendsetters and taste-makers, which I totally admire and want to showcase through my work!
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
I believe wedding photography is about telling your love story. I want to create beautiful memories in a style that will reflect the timelessness of your love and unique story! This, combined with a creative, fine-art flair, is what I hope to achieve with all of my wedding photography. My style is bright, candid and emotive – using soft lighting, artistic styling and natural posing to capture every emotion and special moment. I really want to showcase your true personality and style, because if you are an APW reader, you have a lot of it!
I always say to let the photo be beautiful and be yourselves within it.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Living in Australia for 5 years, I developed an intense love for coffee. (Like, a really unhealthy obsession with those perfectly-poured cappuccinos!) So brunching and café catch-ups can be considered a hobby, right? I also love cooking, a good TV series, my scruffy dog Toby and I am a little bit of a fitness-fanatic.
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
Old Time Rock N’ Rock by Bob Segar. When I was little my Mom and I used to dance around the kitchen to that song. I even remember the giant 80′s boom-box she played it on!
