I didn't feel like our wedding photos came out looking staged and they really captured the spirit of the day. You listened to our requests and added a few unique touches to photos that made them feel light and silly. You two are super chill and made an overwhelming experience totally manageable.

Describe your business in 1-3 short sentences.

I'm Nicole, the owner and photographer behind 43rd Ave Photography. My focus is taking candid pictures that will remind you of what your wedding felt like. If I say the word "cheese" you better be sure I'm talking about my favorite animal by-product!

Why do you want to work with APW Couples?

We love working with people who aren’t afraid break traditions, have a great sense of humor and believe that the people at their wedding are the most important part.

Describe your artistic approach to weddings?

We won’t make you hold awkward poses or drag a vintage couch into the middle of a dandelion field. Believe it or not, wedding photography can actually be pretty simple. You be yourselves and we’ll give you direction when necessary. We’ll help you wrangle your relatives for family pictures and figure out what to do with your hands. The rest of the time we’re photographing all the moments that will remind you of how your wedding day felt.

What are your non-work-related hobbies?

Walking the Lands End trails, playing soccer and cooking.

What’s your favorite book?

A few that stand out in my memory are Echo, The Fire Next Time, The Kite Runner, Breakfast of Champions, Why Not Me?

What’s your favorite movie?

Anchorman

If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?

I would have decision overwhelm and turn on my current favorite Spotify station. I would not limit myself to minute--I am prone to break out into dance at any given point of my workday.
