Describe your business in 1-3 short sentences.
We are a Wedding Collective made up of three hard-working gals offering planning, design, styling, florals, consultation and officiating services! We believe getting married is a radical, sacred act, and we are here to help guide you on this special journey. We offer inclusive and reasonably priced, wedding consulting, coordinating and coaching.
Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
Getting married is really, truly like no other experience in your life. It’s a symbolic rite of passage that spans generations, cultures, and belief systems. We honor all of the ways people celebrate their unions, and we know that APW couples love to have fun, funky and fantastic weddings!
Specifically, we welcome diversity and many of our clients identify as LGBT/Queer, and we work with many multi-racial marriages. We are drawn to clients who choose to think outside the box, are adventurous and bold.
On our end, we bring a sense of humor to the planning process, and we understand that a partnership can come in any shape or form. We love clients who get excited about meaningful connections and we are here to help make your wedding more than just a party, but also a rad celebration of love for everyone there.
We aim to be a Beacon of Calm both on your wedding day and in the months working together up until then. We’ll help keep things in perspective. We’ll help you handle both the large things like gracefully and mindfully. Think of us like your Wedding Whisperer, here to make some magic happen!
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
Mari is a trained artist and graphic designer, and Jen is a self-taught Florist, Emily loves a unique, out-of-the-box celebration, and we all straddle left/right brain skills and love to approach every wedding as creative in its own right. We love to help couples bring whatever their vision is to life in ways that are meaningful (and fit their budget!). We have a large network of amazing, creative vendors, mostly based in Southern California, but many of whom (like us!) love to travel for weddings as well.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Hiking in LA as a team, often with as many dogs as possible, creating styled shoots together, roadtripping and taking 5,000 photos every weekend. Also books, yoga, coffee, and everything California.
