Neva Sullivan Photography
My husband and I the pleasure of working with Neva, owner of Neva Sullivan Photography, for our engagement and wedding photos in September, 2019, and we are thrilled with the results! Neva's services were recommended by her cousin, who is a close friend of mine from childhood. From our first meeting, Neva was personable and professional. She made my husband and me feel comfortable and relaxed, and we felt free to be our silly selves during our photo shoots. To our surprise and delight, Neva edited and sent our engagement photos to us within 24 hours! Neva's passion for, and dedication to her craft is beyond impressive! Something that sets her apart from other photographers is her enthusiasm. I never met a photographer who was equally (if not more) excited as her subjects during a shoot! Between shots, Neva squealed, "Oh my gosh, that's too cute! That is so perfect!" Neva's love for her work is reflected in every photograph she takes. Some artists prefer to separate themselves from their subjects when they work; Neva is the exact opposite. She made a connection with us and she was genuinely invested in our story. Her sense of humor, kindness, and passion shine through her work. She made us feel like we were creating and sharing something together as a community. My husband and I are honored that Neva put so much effort and spirit into celebrating our special day. My family wholeheartedly recommends Neva Sullivan Photography to anyone celebrating a wedding, engagement, or other special event. In short: two thumbs way, way up!

Describe your business in 1-3 short sentences.
I have always been obsessed with capturing love in all its rare and beautiful forms. I’m enamored by human connection. Of all the things on this planet I could point my camera at, love fascinates and excites me the most. There is a simple and mystical art in freezing a moment of connection between two people in love. I’m a natural storyteller, a born collaborator, and I thrive in preserving my clients’ most intimate moments and letting love speak for itself.
Why do you want to work with APW couples?
Long before I was a photographer, I was (and still am!) a devoted APW reader. There is truly no safer space on the internet for such a diverse, thoughtful, and respectful community to come together and help one another navigate the often fraught waters of modern wedding-planning and everything that goes along with it. The prospect of serving this particular community through my art fires me up. I am so excited work with APW couples because, to be frank, they kick so much ass.
What is your artistic approach to weddings?
I’m not just a wedding photographer. I am a memory capturer, a love celebrator, and a moment preserver. I specialize in making people feel comfortable and natural in front of my camera, even if they think it can’t be done. During weddings, I’m on a constant hunt for moments. Moments you don’t even realize are important but that end up making your day unique to you. I embrace the candid nature of weddings and truly believe that there is an indelible beauty in getting out of the way and letting your friends and family come together and celebrate you on your day. My job is to find those moments and freeze them in time so you can enjoy them forever.
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Staring at my dog while he sleeps, because I’m 100% normal.
Also, I am an iced coffee enthusiast, a craft beer collector, a Disney World park hopper, a clarinet player, and mediocre Harry Potter triva team member. 🙂
What's your favorite book?
Harry Potter, all of them and I refuse to choose one!
What's your favorite movie?
My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Not only is it a photorealistic depiction of my own giant Armenian family, I can recite the entire movie from start to finish!
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
The Dog Days Are Over, Florence & the Machine.
I regularly edit to Florence so this scenario basically happens all the time anyway!
