In case you missed it, one of my favorite weddings in the whole world, with one of my favorite designers in the whole world, was featured on Offbeat Bride today. Annnndddd it includes details you haven’t even heard yet, so you’ll want to check that out.

If you want the full story behind the dress, you’ll want to look here and here. As for how the dress changed my life? That’s another story.

  • Wow! What a gorgeous wedding. Rarely do wedding dresses make my heart go all pitter patter but…wow!

I knew I had seen this somewhere:).

  • oh I loooooove this dress. I sent it along to my sister in law in the hopes that she’ll do something similar for her wedding dress. fabulous!

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress, and her wedding story. I love how she made it; I would love to make my own wedding dress, but I am a little wary because of my severe lack of sewing skills. But I do think I could accomplish the detail she did by personalizing her dress with a hot glue gun and flocked velvet cutouts!

Ha! I was obsessed with Kimi and her lovely invitations and dress for months. After searching high and low for a wonderful vintage- looking Prospect Park map to include in our wedding invites, (like Kimi had) I gave up. Two days before we mailed our map-less invites out, the boy and i are having a nice dinner out, and who walks in but kimi and her husband! Long story short, they are both wonderful people, and our invites were mailed with a vintage map thanks to kimi!! All the best of luck to her, she deserves it!

Oh YOU’RE the one Elizabeth. I heard about that. Hurrah. And Harrah for Prospect Park, one of my favorite places on earth.

  • So, Meg, you’re definitely one of my heroes. Having convinced me that I wasn’t crazy for wanting a blue dress, and helping to convince me that this shindig is possible, you have reminded me again how to make this thing mine.

but I think I definitely need more help than I realized.

too much to say here, said it over on my blog: brokensaucer.blogspot.com .
