Why do you want to work with APW Couples?
APW couples are consistently people who, while they appreciate an AWESOME party, are way more focused on the connections, the family, the friends, and most importantly, the marriage and the bond they share with their partner. They are also people who truly appreciate and connect with their vendors, no matter how many or how few, and that’s something I want to be a part of!
Describe your artistic approach to weddings?
I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible when I am photographing weddings. If someone tells me I was “like a ninja”, that’s the best compliment ever! I won’t make you pose like you’re cutting the cake if you’re really not, I won’t make you stop what you’re doing and smile at me, I don’t want to interrupt your day at all if I don’t have to. I prefer to capture intimate moments as they unfold so they’re as genuine and awesome as possible!
What are your non-work-related hobbies?
Two of my favorite things outside of photography are my cats (two female Torties and one boy) and Star Trek (The Next Generation, Original Series, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager, in that order). I also watch a ton of movies and am recently getting into biking.
What’s your favorite book?
Currently anything that Mary Roach writes. I adore her.
What’s your favorite movie?
I have SO MANY favorites, so I couldn’t possibly choose just one… but some that are at the top of my list are John Carpenter’s The Thing, Hook, Fright Night, Poltergeist, Ferngully, The NeverEnding Story, Clueless, Beetlejuice, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, American Beauty, Jurassic Park, and Dead Man.
If you could have a one minute dance party at your desk, what song would you pick?
Faith Evans “Love Like This” !
