Working with Double Take, from the planning to the big day, was a dream. When you have a wedding, you have all these vendors that you barely know who are a part of one of the biggest days of your life, and it honestly felt like they were MEANT to be there! They were not just filming it all, but really a part of our day. I feel like, if we could, we would invite Double Take to spend the rest of our celebrations with us! Our video did not just capture our day, or our love story...it captured us and our people perfectly. It is something we will be sharing with our friends and family forever. We even watch it on a mini-anniversary or date night. Double Take captured everything we loved about our wedding day and preserved it so we would always remember that feeling.
Travel Policy
We are based in Virginia but love to travel! For weddings within driving distance, we only charge a travel fee when they are farther than an hour from the Richmond, VA area. Reach out and let us know the location of your venue and we can provide you with an exact number. If your wedding is not within driving distance we are happy to chat more about a custom quote.
Elopement Policy

We approach wedding videos with authenticity first because we think your wedding film should feel representative of who you are and what your day truly felt like. We work to make each of our wedding videos fit the individuality of each couple because every couple is unique and every wedding day looks and feels different.
Why do you want to work with APW couples?
Inclusivity and authenticity are extremely important to us as a company and we love working with couples who share those values. We also chose to list on A Practical Wedding because we want couples who don’t feel represented or included in the wedding industry to be able to easily find vendors who have their backs.
What is your artistic approach to weddings?
We approach weddings with radical authenticity, and creativity. Every decision we make while editing your wedding video takes your unique personalities into account – from the music choices, to the overall feel – our main goal is to make your wedding video reflect who you are as people.
Pros
They have an eye for capturing moments that I simply don't see in other wedding videos. They are kind-hearted, genuine, and intelligent folks and I truly feel like they approach this work as an art form. They knew me and my husband have a silly side to us and that was reflected in our wedding video. I had made some specific requests for the video, such as wanting all our vows included, so they mic'ed me and my husband and that picked up the audio really nicely. In the initial sit down months before the wedding, the videographers asked questions of course, and just from the questions they were asking how damn good it was going to be. I am so glad we made the decision to go with DoubleTake, literally not a single regret about my wedding video. It's perfect I love it the end.

Pros
Erin and Joey are an amazing team. First of all, they are kind and cordial. They have a great business ethic and they are punctual and prompt. Also, they have a knack for creating content that is tailored to the specific style and tone of their clients. We had a vibrant, color-filled wedding and their video for us was perfectly aligned with our aesthetic. They aren’t here to put your wedding into their “box”. And, in the nicest way possible, they are invisible. They dress well, and use mono-pods for their cameras. It makes them agile, easily moving around the space so that their shots are varied and they always capture the best moments at great angles. They will blend in to the crowd, keep out of the way, and also get great photos and videos. They are worth every penny.
