To qualify as a Referrer under APW’s Affiliate Referral Program, you must create an account at https://apracticalwedding.com/affiliates/ and have a PayPal account. By filling out the affiliate signup form you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You will receive all compensation through PayPal. Payments will be made on a monthly basis through PayPal. There is a $25.00 payout threshold. You will receive a 5% commission on monies actually received by APW from a first time vendor listing in the APW Vendor Directory.
Commissions will be paid to you directly by APW after any holding period and in accordance with a regular payout cycle established by APW, typically 60 days.
Referrer must earn a minimum account balance of $25 or more before an account is eligible for payment. Commission amounts earned for less than $25 will remain pending until the full $25 minimum balance has been earned. All sales still pending due to the minimum payment threshold must remain active and in good standing according in order to be eligible for payment. Referrals that are found not to be valid will be deemed not payable. If Referrer does not meet the minimum threshold of $25 within 180 days the payout will be forfeited and the account balance will revert to $0. PayPal payments will only be reissued within 120 days of the original issue date in the case of incorrect PayPal address or refusal from PayPal to accept payment.
No commission will be paid for signups by you, your household, anyone within your organization or any existing customer, advertiser or vendor of APW. An existing customer, advertiser or vendor of APW is defined as any customer, advertiser or vendor who has had an existing account with APW at anytime in the past. Commissions will be payable on first time APW Vendor Directory listings only. If a referred vendor renews their listing or purchases any additional advertising from APW no additional commission will be paid.
Referrer will receive a personalized affiliate link and access to banners to promote the APW Vendor Directory through email, their website, social media, etc. to earn commissions on their referrals. When a web surfer clicks through the affiliate link, a cookie is set in their browser that contains the Referrer username. The cookie will track their use of the site for 30 days. The IP address of the referred vendor is tracked in the database along with the Referrer name. When a referred vendor decides to buy a listing in our Vendor Directory, the script will look for this cookie and/or try to match their IP address to identify the Referrer who will be awarded the commission. Visitors sent through your affiliate link may make a purchase later in time and the commission will still be awarded if the cookie is present in their browser and/or they are using the same IP address as the one logged in the database. In order for you to receive a commission the referred vendor must have its cookies enabled.
APW reserves the right to only pay for referrals for Referrer accounts that are active and in good standing. It is understood and agreed that Referrer will comply with all laws as well those that govern email marketing and anti-spam laws. Your participation in the Affiliate Referral Program may be suspended or terminated for any of the following reasons:
- Inappropriate advertisements (false claims, misleading hyperlinks)
- Illegal spamming (mass email, mass newsgroup posting, etc.)
- Advertising on sites containing/promoting illegal activities
- Violation of intellectual property rights
- Inability to setup links or refer clients to APW (lack of performance)
- Nonpayment of monies due APW
APW reserves the right to accept or reject any vendor referred under the Affiliate Referral Program.
APW will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential damages (including loss of revenue, commissions) arising in connection with the Affiliate Referral Program including any tracking failures or loss of database files. Our aggregate liability arising with respect to the Affiliate Referral Program will not exceed the total referral fees paid or payable to you. APW makes no express or implied warranties or representations with respect to the Affiliate Referral Program. In addition, APW makes no representation that the operation of the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and APW will not be liable for the consequences of any interruptions or errors.
APW may change the terms of the Affiliate Referral Program or its operating procedures at any time. These terms will begin upon your signup with the Affiliate Referral Program and will end when your affiliate account is terminated. If any modification to the terms is unacceptable to you, your only choice is to terminate your affiliate account. Your continuing participation in the Affiliate Referral Program will constitute your acceptance of any change.
