Sometimes I forget just how far the wedding industry has come since I got married (maybe because there’s still such a long way to go, but I digress). When I got married, just about every dress on offer was a strapless sheath or ball gown. And all the really good stuff cost about a third of my entire wedding budget. Which is why every season, when BHLDN releases their new line of dresses, 2009 Maddie is like… finally. Because these are the dresses I would have worn (and, bonus, could have afforded) when I was getting married if they had existed. So because it’s New York Fashion Week, and I’ve spent the better part of the last few days scrolling through Instagram looking at dresses I have no business buying, today we’ve rounded up some of the more fashion-forward dresses from the new BHLDN line (plus a few accessories because I couldn’t help myself. Hello bridal version of Lady Gag’s Joanne hat). Can someone please give me an excuse to wear this or this somewhere?
Leroy Top ($350) and Gidley Skirt ($400)
Bella Vista Two-Piece Set ($470)
Gracie Pet Collar ($35) Editor’s note: I know this is a pet collar. But a) I would wear it, and b) I live for your wedding pets. Do it.
