One sentence sum-up of the wedding vibe: Whew, that was a party!
Soundtrack for reading: “You Make My Dreams” by Hall and Oates
Favorite Thing About the Wedding
The getting married in the slightly wet, warm, and crowded little lodge and then dancing my ass off with all the very best people I know.
Other Cool Stuff We Should Know About
Our wedding had a title: WedSTOCK. And it was awesome, but also kind of a mess (but so am I, so it was perfect). Our lovely outdoor wedding quickly became an indoor one when it started to pour. It was the best thing to happen all day. We wrote our own ceremony with help from our friend-iciant and poet. She performed it beautifully in and out of the rain. We wrote our vows the morning before the wedding snuggled in bed together. We didn’t have a recessional. Instead as the ceremony ended, our musician friends started playing Hall and Oates “You Make My Dreams” and we all started dancing. We had three bands, one of them was my husband’s. There were s’mores (and I am still bummed I never got one). There were glow sticks galore. Guests were encouraged to wear “festi-wear.” We had a coloring poster for a guest book with festival people, all of the bands, and a portrait of us on it.
STAY TUNED LATER TODAY FOR Sam & Andrew’s HOW WE DID IT POST, Because you know you want to know how They Pulled off of a multi-Band Festival wedding.
