I’m sheltering in place with my partner and our cat we’re realizing that our 1 bedroom apartment is starting to feel a little tight. I can’t be the only one that feels that way, right?
I think the cat feels like we’re imposing on her space and ignores me during my working hours sleeping under the blankets in one room while I work from my makeshift office space in our living room. My partner has found peace in the garden and built himself a greenhouse (so proud of him) and the fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables are all starting to show. I like to keep my hands busy so I’ve found myself foraging for greenery in our yard and on walks to create arrangements for inside our home and feeling super ambitious, working my way up to possibly create a greenery installation on the side of the new greenhouse. I’ll get back to y’all on the status of that installation 😉.
Otherwise, I acquired a sourdough starter a couple of days ago (thanks Meg and David). TBH, baking bread intimidates the hell out of me. I need all the tips I can get! But if it’s something to do that keeps me away from the constant news cycle and all the TV shows I want to binge watch, at least for a little while, I’ll take it.
I’m doing my best to find bits of happiness and joy in the small things, like cat cuddles, and I hope you are too 💞.
