A thousand years ago (okay, 2009) when I was getting married, I spent an enormous amount of time—some of it well documented on the Internet—raging with frustration and confusion over the fact that I couldn’t find any actually stylish wedding dresses… let alone affordable wedding dresses. If I’d wanted a strapless cupcake dress for a small fortune, I would have had all the options. But that’s never been my jam. Hip wedding dresses at a range of price points? This was clearly a business model that needed to be willed into existence. And then as if by magic, BHLDN burst on the scene, and the APW editorial team has been in love ever since.
