How Can I Keep Guests Cool in a Barn Wedding?

Two Cents: Because heat stroke isn't romantic

How Can I Keep Guests Cool In Barn Wedding?
Q:Hi APW community,

I am having a daytime barn wedding in August in the Midwest. We really like the venue, but it has no air-conditioning, and our region tends to be hot and humid in the summer.

There are, however, a few fans and big doors and windows, which we can open for breeze. There are also lots of trees around it providing shade, and guests can hang out either inside or outside. (For context, our guests will range in age from a few months to ninety-five years old. Some are city folk, used to the comforts of urban life, and others are from more rural areas.) SO, what are the best ways to keep our guests cool and comfortable, even if it’s ninety degrees out?

Thanks,
Hot-ass bride

HiVe-mind, let’s make sure this hot ass bride doesn’t make her guests sweat (too much). What do you know about cooling down barns for weddings? ANy tricks up your sleeves? Any horror stories we can learn from? It’s time to share your barn wedding wisdom (and we know you’ve got plenty).
