Other Cool Stuff we should know about
The most important thing to us about the wedding was that our guests would be comfortable. That’s why we chose to have the wedding at a cozy place where the ceremony, reception, and lodging were all together. After the reception, everyone went back to their rooms, changed into comfortable clothes, and came back to the lodge for a campfire, s’mores, and sangria. It was the perfect way to wind down after a very exciting day.
Also, our photographer was the best. I read on APW early on that the most important part in choosing a photographer is choosing someone that you like. SO TRUE. We didn’t realize that we’d spend more time with the photographer than anyone else on the day of the wedding—and we laughed the whole day. He made it so fun. There was a point in the wedding planning process when I thought, “Is this photography thing really worth it?” Looking at the photos make me feel so, so, happy, and remembering all the fun we had is the best.
