Ella, Fundraiser for a museum & Jason, Carpenter and sculptor

One sentence sum-up of the wedding vibe: A deconstructed, irreverent wedding hidden inside a dance party.

Other Cool Stuff We Should Know About

The DJ got drunk and started playing traditional Bosnian wedding songs. People from another (presumably more boring) wedding in the same building kept trying to crash ours. The officiant is Ella’s boss. It was dumb luck one of the guests brought a bottle of Champagne which we then used for the toast that completed the ceremony. There was no food served. Ella and her mom sent prototype dresses through the mail for months to get the design right. We took a bike ride to a nearby park to write our vows the afternoon of the wedding. We honeymooned in a yurt on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands.
