Let’s talk about courthouse wedding outfits. Traditionally speaking, these wedding day looks have typically skewed the more minimal side of things, but it’s 2021, y’all. After the last year, all rules are out the window, and designers have made some big (and small) adjustments to the classic courthouse wedding silhouette. While minimal styles are still in vogue in 2021, subtle bells and whistles have been added to these looks from years past. I’m talking bows, pearls and a change-up in necklines (super plunge and more modest boat neck styles).
Courthouse Wedding Outfit Inspiration
When it comes to nailing down your dream courthouse wedding outfit, don’t be afraid to get creative—with your outfit and how you find it. When I think of stunning (and practical) courthouse wedding outfits, Georgia’s pink suit from H&M is the first thing that comes to mind for me. It’s still a classic look but that faint shade of pink is everything! Not to mention, it’s a killer bridal look that won’t break the bank. We could all use that type of inspiration, right?
Speaking of getting inspired, I’m really loving the way wedding outfits are being accessorized right now. It’s like monochromatic excess, in a good way. In previous years we’ve seen the super colorful and over-the-top wedding accessories burst onto the scene (and if you’ve been on APW for any time you know that we’re typically the ‘more is more’ type of crew), but this wedding trend has been super refreshing to see. The monochromatic layers upon layers of material like different transparent and opaque fabrics, beads, and other sparkly accouterments are what set the tone for me.
So, I’ve scoured the internet to pull some of our favorite courthouse wedding outfits (accessories included), from the usual suspects like BHLDN and David’s Bridal as well as independent designers on Etsy and some trendy retailers across the web. And y’all, there are so many options in all styles. Let’s get to it!
