Jennifer, Special Education Teacher & Alex, Retail Manager
sum-up of the wedding vibe: It was effortless.
Planned Budget: > $,4000
Actual Budget: $3,600
Number of Guests: 19 (6 were our own kids)
Location: Blagden Alley | Washington, D.C.
Where we allocated the most funds:
The majority went to Pop Wed Co. for everything (getting license, officiant, photography, cake…).
Where we allocated the least funds:
Free makeup and hair! For actual money spent, clothing. Alex and the boys already had their dress clothes. They only needed the purple shirts. Jennifer and the girls needed dresses and jackets. The jackets were a last-minute addition since the weather was cold! We also got new shoes for the boys, girls, and Jennifer. Jennifer made all the flowers.
What was totally worth it:
Having Pop Wed Co. basically do all the hard work for us!
What was totally not worth it:
Not one part of it. We wouldn’t have done any of it differently.
A few things that helped us along the way:
It was so stress free. Pop Wed was great with helping us bounce ideas for locations. They took care of all the stressful work.
My best practical advice for my planning self:
Go with the flow. Everything works out.
Favorite thing about the wedding:
That while Pop Wed took care of the main things, we were able to still add our own flare.
