Veronica & Walter’s Mission District Wedding

by Meg Keene, CEO & Editor-In-Chief

I had to share a few shots of Veronica & Walters wedding celebration shot by the wonderful Kate Harrison (remember her from Local Squared??) They were married a few weeks prior and then celebrated with friends and family at the Velvet Cantina in San Francisco’s Mission District. (If you are wondering if this is what it’s like to live in San Francisco, it really really is… at least on the good days!)Now THAT is what I call a wedding. Go look at the rest of the slideshow here.

I just love the shot of the pinatas…

  • i LOVE san francisco and have to admit that every time you mention it on your blog i get a twinge of jealousy. but it passes. i can always vacation. :)

  • The first shot is incredible! Looks like this couple has their priorities straight and hosted a fun celebration of the union of their family and friends. Hats off to you. Congratulations!

  • Meg, I hoping this is helping you because all these simple practical weddings are having a "soul soothing" effect on me. A little over three months out and its getting a little overwhelming, but these weddings are helping put it all in perspective and putting a smile on my face in the meantime. Thanks for sharing!

  • i love this! i am so over "fancy wedding food" we are thinking of having a taco truck show up a night for a midnight snack!

love the colors, the mood, the whole vibe. love it.

  • I LOVE your blog. Thank you, thank you. I love the real weddings, the stories with the pictures, all of it.

I've been very interested in wedding planning, DIY, deal hunting, atmospherics, and style details in general my whole life, and you've inspired me to start my own blog. I focus a lot on weddings, but really am just making it about great style in general.

I'd love feedback if you have a moment!

  • I love this! Thanks for posting it! I'd love to see more like this, because it's exactly what my fiance and I are doing. We're basically eloping in Hawaii, and then throwing a party back in NYC – where we live – after we return from the honeymoon. It's been hard to find other people that have done this, so I definitely appreciate this post.
